“Harvesting our Hearts”

Join the women of Faith Promise to be encouraged in heart and united in love through worship, Bible teaching, electives (see below), and fellowship.

Following Worship, Emily McPherson will share some of her testimony in How God Harvested Her Heart.

You will then get to choose and enjoy one of these three Elective Classes:

1. Enjoying the Harvest: A cooking class will meet in the kitchen to “sow” (prepare) a yummy new dessert and “reap” (eat) the “fruit of their labor.” (Phyllis Smith will show you how to make an old fashioned stack apple cake.)

2. Rooted in God’s Love: In this workshop, you will learn how to stay “rooted & built up in Him, strengthened in the faith, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Led by Sherri Shafer)

3. Harvesting Treasure from Your Trial: Be encouraged through prayer, and a special time to speak with another woman to help you personally harvest the treasure from your trial. (Led by Isabelle Simecoe)

“Finding Treasures in our Trials”

Join the women of Faith Promise to be encouraged in heart and united in love through worship, Bible teaching, electives (see below), and fellowship.

After an awesome time of worship, Patsy Williams will share her story/testimony and how God brought treasures out of her trials.

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3

October 7th Electives*:

1) Treasure Hunt: Go on a literal treasure hunt for hidden treasure (jewelry, gift cards, and much more, including the most valuable treasure of all).

2) Finding Treasure in the Bible: How to find personal, applicable treasure in God’s Word.

3) Turning your Trial into a Treasure: A special time to speak and pray with other women who have also experienced the trials of life.

*Please plan to participate in one of the electives above after Patsy’s story.

Beth Moore and The Living Proof Live simulcast event is back!

Beth Moore’s life-transforming Bible study challenges and inspires women of every age, everywhere. Joining Beth at this weekend event is acclaimed worship leader Travis Cottrell and the Praise Team.

Beth’s focus will be on the Scripture that God lays on her heart for each individual Living Proof Live event – no two are the same. As she explores the Bible and how it applies to real life, you’ll be amazed by her own experiences as a believer, and you’ll be inspired to magnify and strengthen your own relationship with God.

We will gather at Faith Promise Church at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 10th to carpool to First Baptist Concord. If you choose not to carpool, we can meet you at First Baptist Concord at 9:30 AM and will give you your wrist band. First Baptist Concord is reserving a section for us so that we will be able to sit together at the event.

This will be an awesome time to connect with one another and grow as we spend time with one another and Beth Moore.

On April 9th, in conjunction with Operation Inasmuch, fp Women will serve the women of The Restoration House for their Family Night and we need you. We will provide dinner for 50 and 60 people as part of their quarterly Family Night as they meet with their mentors for training and fun. You can play the role of cook, serve the dinner, and provide arts/crafts activities for the children while the mothers and mentors meet. The schedule will be something like this:

• 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm – Interact with the children from The Restoration House
• 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm – Dinner for the families

The Restoration House’s purpose is to help restore single mothers and their children back to God’s good intent for their lives. The Restoration House was founded in October 2006 by Daniel and Mandy Watson in order to journey with low-income single mother families while bridging the gap between existing services. Lori Haskell is Program Director and Kim Spoon is Director of Family Services.

Operation InAsMuch (OIAM) began in North Carolina in 1995 and is now being used by hundreds of churches such as Faith Promise to engage in local mission projects that result in spiritual renewal and enhanced involvement in the needs of the community.

Angela Mason, Special Advocate for Women & Children at World Vision, will be our guest speaker at the gathering. She is an award-winning speaker. Through her compelling presentations sprinkled with stories, humor, and possibilities, Angela motivates audiences to make a difference in their world.
